Taking place November 1–2 at the University of California, Berkeley, the 2013 Philomathia Symposium—Water, Climate, and Society: Challenges and Strategies in a Rapidly Changing World—will connect academics, decisionmakers and other stakeholders in in-depth discussions on two multidimensional themes:
• Strategies for urban water management and infrastructure
• The impact of changing water supplies on food production, national security, population and the natural environment
Keynote speakers for this event will include Lisa Jackson, former Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency; and Ma Jun, Director of the Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs in Beijing, China.
