Wilfred Chung

A graduate of McMaster University and the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine, Wilfred Chung is also a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. During his career as an Emergency Physician, Wilfred led the development of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Cornwall, Ontario, where he later served as Chief of Staff. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of the St. Joseph Continuing Care Centre in Cornwall, the Champlain Regional Stroke Network’s Prevention & Acute Care Committee, and the Champlain Regional Trauma Network. In 2006, St. Lawrence College awarded him with an honorary diploma in recognition of his contribution to health care in Eastern Ontario. Wilfred has recently retired from the practice of medicine. He continues to serve as a member of the campaign cabinet to rebuild a new SickKids Hospital in Toronto.
