Ethan is interested in both the synthesis and characterization of highly efficient luminescent systems, specifically the CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals. The newly developed photothermal threshold quantum yield (PTQY) instrument will allow for precise and accurate measurements leading to a feedback loop between finely tuned synthesis and characterization.
