James is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He received an NSF Plant Genome postdoctoral fellowship that enabled him to study at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis MO, and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing, China. His research looks at the regulation of gene expression in plants using comparative genomics and gene expression data.
