Rachel Sittoni is a PhD candidate in Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Cambridge. She holds an MSc in Security, Leadership and Society from King’s College London. Her PhD research concerns youth politics as mediated by Police violence in contemporary Africa. She is passionate about young people, youth cultures and youth engagement and how such engagement can translate into thoughtful political or policy change. She is an alumna of the African Leadership Centre Peace Security and Development Fellowship programme for African Scholars; she also coordinated its fellowship programmes.
